Snowboarding trick 4 360 deg turn

OK – a bit more complicated now. This one’s about making a 360- degree turn. Yes – a turning a circle!

A nice gentle slope again will suffice for you to get some practice infor this trick. Low traffic is a plus so as to give yourself plenty of room to practice.

Once you’ve found your chosen slop, up on to your board and begin riding gently and slowly downhill.

When you’re comfortable, begin to make a turn by leaning backwards, shifting your weight on to your back foot and using the

board’s tail to pivot. Slightly elevate the board’s nose and begin to turn using the board’s tail as the pivot. Keep the board’s nose slightly off the ground (but not too high) while continuing your turn Continue to turn with the board\'s nose in the air. And keep ypur balance of course!

About half the way through your turn, pop the boar’s nose back onto the snow though keep the spin going (your momentum will help you to do this) until you’ve completed the circle and are “back where you started from “ pointing downhill.

Congratulations – you can do a 306-degree turn. As with all other snowboard tricks, practice and patience is the key so keep doing both and you’ll be “spinning” round and around!
