Snowboarding trick 3 180 deg Air Turn
Having mastered the first couple of basic tricks you can now move on to something that is a little harder to master. Before trying any of the snowboard tricks it is better to warm up on the slope so that you are more flexible. This can help prevent injury while practising tricks.
Now we’ll look at a 180-degree turn in the air. And coming out of it riding backwards on your board. Look for a nice, gentle slope which (if possible) is not too busy so you’ll have plenty of room to yourself.
Begin riding your board downhill – but not too fast. When you are comfortable and ready, crouch down slightly and move your weight to your back foot begin to turn. Now, first lift your board’s nose off the ground and then your board’s tail off the ground alternately. Twist your shoulders and hips with the direction of the spin. Jump with it and turn 180-degrees.
Try to land on both feet at the same time so as to lessen the impact and to give yourself a “firm” base to land on and lessen the chances of you falling.
If you’ve pulled it off, you’ll have landed safely and be riding back the way you came from!
This trick is a bit more complicated than before but you’re making progress. So practices, practice, practice to enhance you’re boarding Skills and become proficient. |
